I have scoured the web wanting to find cool and inspiring concept gadgets to add the series of post about concept designs. The designs i found are not only sleek and cool but also ergonomic and pratically functional. I picked a number of possible candidates, screened it some more and final settled on the three concepts listed below.
1. Maptor
Designed by: Jin-Sun Park and Seon-keun Park
A combination of a map and a projector, this cool concept gadget can project an image of a map virtually on any solid surface, users could also zoom in or zoom out the map image. So small that it could easily pass off as a lipstick, yup its that small. A must have for any traveller, it features a GPS technolgy which could help users to determine the current location and points them on the right course. Now you won’t be ashamed of opening a conventional paper map when you are lost, just pull out Maptor push a button and you will be on the right track.
2. E-Ball PC:
Designed by: Apostol Tnkovski
A sphere shaped, poke ball like concept computer which by the way is the smallest computer ever designed. It basically has all the features of a traditional pc technology less the size and weight. Designed to sit on two stands which can be deployed by simultaneously pressing two buttons on each side. This concept gadget does not only have a detachable mouse attached to its body when not in use but it also sports a laser keyboard, a cool addition to its features. Images and display is projected to a wall or a sheet paper with a press of a button. With a user friendly friendly interface and a sylized icons that can be wasily remembered this cool concept gadget is ideal for making video presentations, watching large screen movies, chatting on the interenet and listening to your favorite music. It will certainly be an eye catcher in the office.
3. Eye See U Book:

And you thought the advent of E-Books would scared away the bookworms from libraries. Not if they have this cool technology in their disposal. The gadget called “magnify” assissts users in finding the book they need by providing them with a search iinterface, a map and a lens which dispalys usefull information about the book in sight. Cool!
A real winner, this concept gadget lets you do a search without using a computer or a Dewey Decimal. It features an overhead birds eye view map. The lens will point you the direction of the book you’re looking.
