Many of you might have problem while downloading files from torrent site. so I brought step by step method to use torrent.

1) type what you are looking for in the mininova search engine

2) try and find a download with a HIGH number of SEEDS and lower number of LEECHERS

3) make sure the file size is correct (i.e. a movie would not be 1 MB, you would be looking for 700MB for an average DVDrip) also see the screen shots if available in comment section

4)click on “Download this Torrent”

5) choose a directory location to save the file and begin downloading

6) once download is finished, go to your directory (where you saved it)

7) use a torrent client like www.bitlord.com or VUZE or utorrent (search in google) to open the torrent you have downloaded from mininova

note: for some downloads like games or movies, you may need winRAR or winZIP to decompress/extract the files. some movies come in 14 or so parts and you need to zip them all up together with winRAR. to do this just open the FIRST file (i.e. moviepart01.rar) with winrar and it will do the work for you

then open your torrent client window i.e vuze or utorrent
“Right Click” on the row where the downloaded torrent shows 100%.
Select “Open file Directory” (or may be “Open containg folder/directory”)
It will open the folder where the real file is saved.
Check if you can see the extension like (*.exe \ *.rar \ *.iso \*.avi)
If not, then in the top menu bar of the folder click on “Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab”.
In the list of options below “check off” – Hide extension for known file types.
You will see the extension of the file.

This should be enough to get you rolling. Hopefully if it a ISO file you can download MagicDisc from www.magiciso.com
