Yesterday, the market was abuzz with rumor that the hugely anticipated Nokia C6 was already in the market. It seemed that finally the wait for all the eager enthusiasts was over. However, Nokia clarified the rumor through Twitter.

The wait isn’t over, but has been agonizingly prolonged by another couple of months as Nokia announced that it will launch Nokia C6 in the first week of September. So all you guys, who just could not wait to lay your hands on the new handset, will have to be patient till the first week of September.
Coming onto those of you who are still not excited at the mere mention of Nokia C6 (which may be due to your unawareness about the handset), here is brief description of C6 and its features. To start with, going with the latest trend it’s a touch screen phone with a 3.2-inch display and has a nHD 16:9 widescreen as well as a slide out QWERTY keyboard. It has a five megapixel camera with auto focus, integrated flash as well as a secondary camera for video calling. Nokia C6 runs on Symbian S60 5.0 OS and supports GSM, CDMA as well as 3G networks. All this, and lots more, for Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 14,000 in India makes it a great buy. But is it still worth the wait?

Many Nokia faithful seem to be frustrated with their decision to postpone the release of the C6 till September. So much so that some are looking to other companies for new phones. Maybe Nokia should concentrate on launching the phone sooner than on giving it every feature possible in order to retain its customer base. But then will it really have a customer base if it launches phones that are not really competitive with the others in the market?
