Facebook is now the world’s 3rd largest website

It was only a matter of time, honestly. Facebook, according to recent numbers from Comscore, has now moved into the position as the 3rd largest website in the world. Who’s left holding 4th? Yahoo, of course. The top two spots, unsurprisingly, come from Google and Microsoft respectively, with Facebook gaining rapidly even on the aging giants.

Microsoft on Google Buzz: “Another Social Network”

Following the steps of Yahoo, Microsoft has also released its thoughts in a statement regarding Google’s new social networking service for Gmail and mobile smartphones, Google Buzz. Echoing the statement by Yahoo, Microsoft says that they also incorporated features from social websites like Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and 75 other services on Hotmail back in 2008.
